Maternity & Infant caring closet
In a Village provides infant, maternity, and postpartum necessities to families in our community. This project is completely funded by the generosity and donations from our community. Individuals and families are able to get referred through one of the above agencies, who will help fill out a form that is submitted to us. We then fill the order requests and deliver to the specified person on the form.
Direct Resource Support
We understand that sometimes small tasks feel very big and intimidating, so we are here to walk with you through the process of getting you the help you need! We will direct you to other resources around the community as needed, help fill out applications, and even help you make your appointments. At In A Village, we are dedicated to helping make intimidating or awkward situations for you more comfortable. In Partnership with Minnesota Milk for Babies
in a village breastmilk Depot
We have partnered with the Minnesota Milk Bank for Babies to provide South Dakota with its first depot location to donate breastmilk. Donors must apply and be screened prior to bringing any donations to our depot. Once you are approved as a donor you will be given an ID number and can then bring donations to our location. We will then arrange transportation to the Minnesota location where it will be pasteurized accordingly and then repackaged to be sent out for babies in need. Village Treasures
Village Treasures is an incentive program to encourage pregnant women and caregivers of children under the age of 2, to lead a healthy lifestyle. The program was formerly called Teddy Bear Treasures and run by EMBE. Points are earned by attending appointments, getting vaccinations, attending parenting classes, and more. Points can then be exchanged for the incentive prizes at our Treasures Store. You can use this program by getting a point book from your clinic, or reaching out to us for more information.

Infant Respite care
Taking care of your baby and yourself after giving birth can be a difficult task. We know not everyone has a huge village of helpers awaiting your call for help, but we are doing just that. We have volunteers that have passed a background check and gone through training to come help you in this challenging time. Volunteers will come into the home to help care for your child while you take a much needed nap, get caught up on some chores, or eat a warm meal. Volunteers can also come help you tidy up the kitchen, fold the mountain of baby clothes, and other small household tasks you are struggling to keep up with.
